Luca’s scent is all over me.

I crack open an eye and find myself curled around his body. We’re...cuddling.

But it’s not a cute cuddle. He doesn’t just have his arm lightly draped over my waist. I don’t have my head adorably snuggled against his chest. Nope. My face is mashed into his armpit. Drool is slipping down my chin. His thigh is thrown over me, pressing against my bladder, and every few seconds, he humps my hip bone.

I groan.

“Luca.”

He humps my hip again and lets out a little snore.

I look down and see that we’re lying on tarps, but we somehow ended up in the bathtub. Which explains the crick in my neck and the awkward way I’m half lying, half sitting up.

Shoving his face with my elbow, I try to wake him up. The guy is way bigger than me though, and he is dead asleep. The kind of sleep you only get after having frantic heat sex for days on end like we have.

Every time he would tell me I needed to rest, I would just start rubbing all up on him again. I got him hard and rarin’ to go every single time. And once, after he basically passed out from exhaustion, I just licked his dick while he slept and then plopped myself right on top of him. He woke up quick.

Poor guy. I should really let him sleep, but…

“I gotta pee.”

With my finger digging into his cheek, I poke him until he groans and cracks open his eyes. “Whaaa?”

“I need to use the bathroom,” I tell him. “You’re trapping me.”

He blearily looks around, realizing what position we’re in, and he deftly begins to help me untangle our limbs.

On shaky legs, I get up and out of the tub, nearly tripping over the tarp that’s partly hanging out. I manage to catch myself on the doorframe, but it’s raw lumber still, and a splinter the size of a toothpick cuts into my palm.

“Friggen ouch!” I hiss, staring down at it.

Luca is up and out of the tub in an instant, grabbing my hand to look. “Here.”

I watch, a little shyly, as he brings his mouth up and puts the skin of my palm against his lips. I feel his tongue come out, licking against the sore spot, and then in a move that shouldn’t be sexy but somehow is, he nibbles until he has the offending sliver of wood between his teeth. He flicks it to the floor. “There.”

“Thanks,” I say, clearing my throat awkwardly. We stand there for a second, both of us buck naked, covered in each other’s...everything, and I just don’t know what the hell to say.

His nostrils flare, and his eyes sweep over me. “Your heatwave is over.”

I blink at him in surprise, taking stock of myself, and realize...he’s right.

That incessant hounding inside of my core is gone. The whining, whimpering mate-call in my chest has stopped. I feel normal again, my body sated, my rat smug, and the tide of my waves finally pulled back off the shore.
